Student Opportunities
The nature of graduate work in this area entails one or two graduate students working closely with senior personnel including me, George Morgan, Tom Dewers, and visiting scientists. Whether for an M.S. or Ph.D., I expect research, culminating in a thesis or dissertation, to be the central component of the degree plan. The research should also be published in a suitable venue, and I encourage students to present their work at national professional meetings. Normally, my students are fully supported through the academic year and summer by a combination of graduate teaching assistantships, available from the School to qualified candidates, and graduate research assistantships provided to me from sponsored research projects.

There are a number of different research opportunities outlined briefly in Current Research. Interested students should contact me by email (dlondon@ou.edu) to establish areas of interest and opportunity. Once a student has been accepted to the program, I will normally bring them in for an on-site visit to the School.

Other general information about the School, the Graduate Program, and graduate application forms are available on our School's website at http://geology.ou.edu/
